I had a really scary “situation” downstairs. I figured I’d try this instead of spending a fortune at a doctors office. This took minutes and the antibiotics worked.

We had just arrived in HI on a holiday weekend. One of our party noted a medical need (UTI) that could be revolved with the appropriate medication. Getting ahold of our family doctor in CA (considering both time change and weekend) was not possible until Monday morning. There was not a local walk in clinic, and the nearest medical facility was about an hour away. The MD Proactive website listed the this illness/condition as something that could be handled by their physicians. Dr. M, through a phone consult, prescribed the appropriate mediation and sent the prescription to a pharmacy close to our vacation site (the website listed all the pharmacies in our area). I would not use this service for an unknown or emergency medical issue, but it was perfect in this situation (and the comfort of the person needing the medication). I would highly recommend MD Proactive for this type of situation.

They were faster and cheaper than my doctor. I recommend.

This is a great idea. Fast response too. I was a bit surprised though because it was advertised as American trained and boarded. The doc I spoke to had a very heavy accent (India, Pakistan?). Only problem was first course of meds for UTI not adequate (though it was correct per the culture and sensitivity) and the pain continues: which leaves me exactly where I was last week.

I was happy with the overall results of using MDProactive. I had a UTI for which I was able to have an antibiotic prescription sent right to my pharmacy. The doctor that called had a very thick Indian accent and was somewhat difficult to understand. He also asked me how he could help me (I filled out a very detailed description of my symptoms, what I had already tried, etc. online) and if I was allergic to any medications (again, already filled out online). I'm assuming that these were precautionary steps to confirm my diagnosis, and it wasn't totally inconvenient just a little pointless given the detail that I gave online. It is still easier and much more convenient than waiting in urgent care or for a doctor's appointment, and in a similar situation I would likely use again.

They called about an hour after I requested a phone consultation, i missed the calls and had to call and request another call back. The Dr. Prescribed 5 days of antibiotics, which were sent to my pharmacy.
