I applied for the "Speech Evaluation Application" role. I took a test that involved listening to two different audio clips (five tasks in total). After listening to the files, I had to "answer" three questions by simply moving a slider toward A or B, depending on which one sounded more natural more human to me. Today I received the verdict: I was rejected, naturally. The reason given was that my audio files didn't meet their standards. Now, I’d like to know: Which audio files? The ones you sent me? I never submitted any audio files myself; my only task was to evaluate them. There wasn't even a section where I could explain the reasoning behind my choices. I call this an unfair business practice. Essentially, you get people to sign up for your platform, harvest their data (which you then resell to other companies), and have them perform work disguised as "tests" meaning unpaid labor only to reject candidates using the first excuse you can find. Unfortunately for you, I’m well aware of how companies like yours operate, so I make a habit of taking screenshots and recording videos of these tests. I am now attaching this evidence to your email response and handing the matter over to a lawyer; let's see if we can put a stop to these practices.
