Once a good solution
We've been using Cin7 for about 7 years. The experience is hallmarked by inconsistency and price hikes. What started as the most cost effective solution and smooth onboarding with ultimate customer satisfaction transformed to being completely ignored for two years. This was followed by a sudden renewed interest in customer satisfaction and making sure it all works as it should, and once again, I could not be happier and the pain from the two previous years was easily forgotten. However, I'm guessing it was sold again and now the company is working hard on maximising returns and minimising customer satisfaction (reducing cost). The new backing is aggressively buying other entities and introducing steep price increasing every 6 months. We're now paying $36,000 a year for what was once a cost effective solution. By comparison, 7 years ago we spent about $3500 a year. When asked about this the response is the same as always; we've made improvements. Though whether those improvements actually are remain unclear. Rolling another company into your portfolio does not mean things improved. The product itself; it does what is supposed to do. Not in a spectacular way or earth shattering new approach. It's the same as most other solutions out there. If anything, the interface is outdated and has not had a lift for the last 7 years, it's also not particularly user friendly or intuitive. The extra software Omni has purchased are poor integrations and literally still stand alone companies that connect through the Cin7 API. They're not properly integrated and were never designed to work exclusively with Cin7.
