The app on the whole is okay, easy to use and does the job but there is a distinct drop in audio quality from the original source which is a shame as I would have kept the subscription otherwise.

Read this BEFORE purchasing!!! This review is twofold - A forewarning to consequences of using NoteBurner to download Spotify music and, the very good customer service and full re-imbursement of $$$. 1) This software and its functionality inherently contravenes Spotify’s Terms of Service and leads to Spotify account suspension. It has taken me several days to have Spotify lift the suspension of my account. The risk of account suspension is a known issue to the company. This is not disclosed on their website and provides NO warning or disclosure to potential customers regarding this critical restriction. I have un-installed this programme and have received a full refund from the company since the product is fundamentally unfit for its intended purpose. 2) Conversely, the product is good and does what it's meant to do. Quality of downloaded Spotify music is perfect, easily downloaded and a “no fuss” application. I initially had an issue regarding the serial number/code which was addressed immediately by the support team. I’m impressed by the customer care and resolution of my initial query and their continued follow up emails.

This app is not designed for audiophiles. It could go for an unexperienced listener, but definitely not for pros. Luckily, after buying it and testing it, being unsatisfied, they agreed to fully refund me. I suggest some improvements, like the audio level (the downloads are clipped a lot, especially newer albums or hi-res, but it happens to older ones too, on 16-bit). Support can try to reply faster, although they replied to all my mails.

The software is great, but cancelling the subscription is not. There should be a link in the welcome email but that link goes to an email address, so you still have to send an email to support to cancel. Also, there's no customer portal, where I can view my subscriptions.

Good software - but be careful of their methods for renewing licence as it can push to to purchase more than one package and they won’t give you a refund

This works great, HOWEVER, Spotify is cracking down on people who use software like this. Spotify locked me out of my PREMIUM account. Therefore, I can no longer use NoteBurner. I recommend that NoteBurner only allow premium users to download. This way, they may be able to fly under the radar a little better.

I bought the Noteburner for Apple Music. Generally it works great. But there are songs i could not convert. I wrote them and they offered some solutions that unfortunately did not work. And they blocked my email. Had they said they don’t know how to fix the problem I’d have accepted that but to block my email address. It disappointed me. Otherwise I’d have given them a 4 or 5 star rating. PS I have read your reply. I just tried again to reply to your email. Thank you for your response.

I use the paid version of Noteburner Spotify Music Converter, and have a Spotify premium account (for my family). I need to convert Spotify music to mp3 format since I use a Sony walkman when doing sports, and NoteBurner is running on my MacBook. Pro: - Noteburner does what it promises: converting spotify music to mp3 files at expected quality. - Noteburner Support replies quickly to questions (within less than 24 hours) Con: The conversion time is as long as the length of the song, so it can take quite some time to convert a playlist or album. What makes this worse, is that during the conversion you cannot: (1) use any audio from other applications on your laptop (e.g. youtube, netflix through webbrowser, zoom etc.) !(2) use Spotify to play songs on the device you are running the conversion on, or on any other device (e.g. mobile phone). So basically you really need to plan the conversions you want to do. There is a way to increase the conversion speed (to 5 times the speed of the songs) but that requires you to (temporarily) reduce the system integration protection settings, which is something I will never do (but you might if you are ok with running the risk). So would I buy NoteBurner again? Yes, since I want to convert Spotify files to an mp3 format. The conversion is not hassle free, but it is great to have the possibility to convert Spotify music to mp3. The only recommendation I can give when you are considering to buy a spotify/mp3 converter, is to review the most recent functionality being offered by the different vendors (including NoteBurner).
