Got labs at a clinic. They gave a price of ~$300, self-pay, for Quest services. Quest sends a bill for ~$900. Long story short, clinic tries to correct this with Quest for about a year. Collections comes knocking for $900. We inform collections that the bill should be $300 as informed before services rendered. They ask for the quote. We get a signed copy from the clinic. Quest says it's insufficient and want proof of payment instead. What? We didn't pay, because the bill is INCORRECT. That's what we're trying to correct here. We sent exactly what was requested and they extend the runaround. After wasting months and countless hours trying to get the bill corrected, we ended up just paying the ~$900 to be done with these crooks. The sad thing is that we usually get identical labs from another clinic that outsources to Quest for ~$300 (less actually). The difference is the clinic bills us then Quest bills them. We'll never let Quest bill us directly again. We'll always use a clinic that handles Quest themselves. Pay, get a receipt and let the clinic deal with this corporation. And this is not the first "surprise" we've had from Quest. A company with 1.5 / 5.0 stars on TrustPilot (1.13 on BBB) should be out of business, replaced by a company that doesn't prey on people. It's time for a class action lawsuit because we're not the only people getting tired out and ripped off by this corporation.
