StukentReviews of stukent.com

Horrible product of proprietary bs that makes college students even broker. Textbook will randomly lock you out, mobile websites consistently stop working for days at a time. You can't even copy and paste text into notes, or to summarize a chapter. I SPENT $80 ON THIS TEXTBOOK LET ME HAVE A PDF VERSION. For the pursuit of antipiracy they're robbing from poor students that are forced to get a horrible textbook option from courses that require it.

Overall great curriculum and product. I selected this because of the nice video cases, easy to use materials, support -- a turnkey offering that I can add my take on. Mostly, the simulation is key. I am still looking for a little more support on the simulation. I'd like more specifics on how it works and results. I would also suggest some debrief videos. 5 stars then. 4 for now. Also, please add a template for a marketing plan.

So, I like Stukent as a company and what they are trying to do in making college level courseware more practical. They get lots of stars for that. I've so far used 2 of their texts, and the first one, a social media course, was often very much out of date and is in desperate need of a re-edit. They are declining to do so, which means I need to find a new social media text and change my course accordingly- which is a lot of work I don't get paid to do. The reply mentions a social media book that is far less useful for the college Junior/Senior classes I'm assigned to teach as it's a social media basics how-to boom appropriately written for HS/community College students.. and is Good for that purpose. I'm presently teaching from an advertising text and the book is.. also... unfinished. Many chapters don't have quizzes to check student reading. (about 1/4) Multiple slide decks look like unedited rough drafts with one chapter having nearly 90 slides. And no, not all of that was relevant content, more an unedited data dump. Some significant subjects like marketing analytics are glossed over extremely superficially- to the point of being insulting to students. So why the 3 stars? The "Simternships" are a great feature. What they are trying to do is great, and deserves support.

Half way thru the course, there was an issue with tech and a new book was uploaded that thru off all the chapters, quizzes etc. making it difficult for the students to follow, take tests in timely manner etc. It was completely confusing. The client services team was responsive, but said it was a development update and there was nothing that could be done. In the future, I would have the dev team be in concert with teams to know that a textbook was in current use prior to doing any updates that could affect the text book etc.

I received courteous and timely response to my inquiry. My students have received a great learning experience from the course and I have received wonderful support as I create and instruct meaningful and real world work for them.

Your unethical behavior is unacceptable. Charging my students for a product that does not work and then trying to give the minimum refund as you maximize profit for your organization at the expense of student satisfaction and learning is unacceptable from an instructor position. They sold a bundled book and simulation, the simulation was giving wrong feedback and stukent only refunded the simulation. What use is the book when it is a bundled product? My students wanted a refund for the entire bundle as the book was of little value without the simulation. Their ethical position is untenable in my professional opinion.

Great personal support from your dedicated staff

The person I worked with was patient and very helpful in walking me through the results and analyses associated with MimicPro
