If I could give Quest a -minus star, I would. This company has no care for the convenience of customers. Even their waiting room feels like a prison waiting room. It was cold, just a lineup of chairs, no television, no piped in music, and nothing to stare at except the feet of other people waiting. There are no other lab options for me, just Quest. If there were, I would never step foot in Quest ever again. There’s zero personal contact with a human until a tech opens the door and calls your name.

working at Quest: Highly favoritism, management has no concept of empathy. All they care about is money and numbers, every employee is expendable. If your looking for a career in phlebotomy do not choose to work at Quest, you wont move up unless you personally know someone.

My problem is with the billing. My doctor ordered some tests that I did not know about, but which seem reasonable given the procedure. Quest is now billing me for the full, un-discounted amount because they say Medicare rejected the claim. BUT, Medicare never got a claim and cannot issue an Explanation of Benefits because, well, there was never a claim. Quest says they cannot file another claim and that I will have to appeal the denial to Medicare. But how do I appeal something that does not exist? Neither Quest nor Medicare can produce a letter of denial. Also: impossible to reach Quest by phone. Office hours are secret but apparently they are not open at 4 PM EDT. last time I talked to them it was a 30 minute wait on hold, a disconnect, and then another 30 minutes wait. HORRIBLE!

HORRIBLE experience here. This hispanic woman comes out screaming at everyone in the office when everyone is just patiently waiting at the 160 west 26 location. Avoid this company at all costs!! She kept yelling at me in the room telling me she’s busy and i need to hurry and wouldn’t even listen, so i walked out.

My hospital now uses Quest for lab services. Quality has PLUMMETED. The last blood draw, the nurse barely swabbed the area before sticking the needle in and afterward applied no pressure at all to the puncture site. I ended up with an inflamed vein and weird blood blisters that I have NEVER seen on a blood draw site before. That phlebotomist is going to give someone sepsis eventually. And that's not even to mention the bad attitudes I've encountered. One woman was lovely. But this last one obviously hated her job. Didn't even care enough to properly swab the area where the needle was going in. Didn't care enough to prevent a hematoma. Didn't provide instructions to apply pressure myself. She told me to sign an electronic pad and wouldn't tell me what it was for at first. Then she got irritated when I respectfully pressed for info because I WANT TO KNOW WHAT I AM SIGNING FOR. I am disgusted by the medical incompetence and lack of professionalism. It's been weeks since that last encounter and I'm still ticked off.

Staff is rude and today wasn't the first time I experienced it. Went in as a walk-in, was checking in and one of the phlebotomist came out and asked if I had an appointment. I was almost done checking in and she goes we don't take walk-ins after 11:00, go somewhere else. It was 11:10. Not the first time that we are given attitude, if you don't like your job YOU should go somewhere else.
