Exact Science (Cologuard) will harass you with phone calls/text messages until you return the test. Don't they realize that it would be very inconvenient to do the test at work or store bathroom.

Why doesn't this company respect at least the intention of medical privacy laws? The test kit is sent in a bright white box adorned with the Cologuard logo. Everyone who delivers it and those who handle it during return shipping knows that the person named on the address label is having a colon test and is now return shipping a box full of human stool. Really? Cologuard... respect your customers right to privacy. Take your company advertising off the box and hire someone in advertising and marketing with a professional understanding of a customer's right to privacy.

My physician recommended ColoGuard ordering the test during my appointment. ColoGuard harassed me leaving phone messages and sent letters asking when would I complete the test. I was still receiving these even after I had received test results back from Exact Sciences. Test result was positive so scheduled a colonoscopy. Colonoscopy showed test to be false positive. Since insurance covered ColoGuard they would not cover the colonoscopy. This is great for hospitals because they get extra revenue for the second test. After receiving test results I researched ColoGuard. Had I done that prior to the test, I would not have agreed to ColoGuard. Don't waste your time, money, or stress just get the colonoscopy.

I would NEVER recommend having a COLOGARD done. First off mine came back Positive. I then was instructed by the medical person who recommended that I do the COLOGARD to have a colonoscopy. I did what was prescribed and my colonoscopy showed Nothing. I'm happy about that. However, when the hospital coded my colonoscopy was done as a result of a Positive COLOGARD.... Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance did Not pay towards my Well Being colonoscopy...... colonoscopies are Expensive. I would Not recommend getting a COLOGARD first.... had I known this info about Insurance company I would have never had a COLOGARD First.

The Cologuard collection kit is pretty well engineered, and a negative result is relatively unambiguous and addressed well in the scientific literature. However, a positive result does not differentiate between DNA markers (which are quite specific for CR neoplasia) and hemoglobin (which is not really). Therefore, a positive result is inadequate for further decision making since it does not tell you what you are positive for. It would be simple enough to report two results: one for DNA markers and one for hemoglobin (quantitative).

Very disappointed. When you watch the video, doesn't explain that any trace of blood can give you a false positive, also how you can make sure that you don't let urine go in the container? So be careful if you do this expensive test, because if you have a positive result, than you need a colonoscopy, and this will mean not only more money but a stressful test with anesthesia, even if you don't have any symptoms or any family member with colon cancer.

Never check the box on reviews as I got hounded by a company asking me to take it off. If you write the company name it is considered at curse work by trust pilot which is truly telling Horrible robos after an unscrupulous doctor places an order. Normal doctors know not to use them. Doctors with private offices do despite these being not appropriate for most patients. Ask your doctor for a local lab test they are more accurate and do not have false negatives that require a colonoscopy. This place has a very high copay with insurance. I had some other bleeding that could have triggered a colonoscopy during the pandemic and I would have undergone a unnecessary colonoscopy during a pandemic. Found this out before it’s too late. If you are a chemist the home test from the would be doable. If not get the cheaper better local fob test. All you need is poop not cg customer service. Use this test if you secretly want a colonoscopy. You doc will order one and just skip this step. It’s easier to schedule a colonscopy than have this company demand the doctor do it after this test. The number you might want to block for these poop people is 844-870-8870 if your doctor accidentally orders from them. If you need to ask questions google it don’t call google poop dna test and don’t choose this company’s website. They ask for personal info just to call. Also google fob test. It’s more acurate and less expensive. Hope your doc is not money hungry and an idiot or he will choose them.
